Local Scholarships
If you are expecting a payment for a local scholarship from Fort Scott High School, you must turn in a proof of enrollment from your college before payments will be sent out. That required document is called a statement of student account (or billing statement). This document must be turned in to Rhonda Dawson at Fort Scott High School or can be emailed to rhonda.dawson@usd234.org. Screenshots from mobile apps or pictures of any kind are not accepted. Documents must be in a printable PDF type of format. A majority of local scholarship funds are not available until late July or early August.
Peterson Scholarship
Peterson Scholarship funds are now available and payments can go out as soon as the required documentation has been turned in. If you are receiving a Peterson Scholarship payment the following documents must be turned in before a payment can be disbursed.
2023 Graduates- Statement of student account (must include schools name, students name and student ID number) and current class schedule with credit hours included.
Renewal- 2020, 2021 or 2022 Graduates- Statement of student account (must include schools name, students name and student ID number), current schedule with credit hours included and grades from the previous semester.
All Peterson payments will go directly to the school in the students name. All documents must be in a printable PDF type of format, Screenshots from mobile apps and pictures of any kind will not be accepted.
